Mo-Sys opens new London facility with multi-camera broadcast, immersive LED walls and more

The multi-purpose Canada Water venue features Mo-Sys technology including robotics and virtual production technology

Mo-Sys has announced it has opened a new facility in London and strengthened its management team, completing a reorganisation of the business.

The company said moving to its new Canada Water location has allowed it to create a hybrid presentation theatre featuring robotics and virtual production technology.

With immersive LED walls, real-time augmented reality processing, multi-camera broadcast production and live streaming capabilities, the three-storey venue enables meetings and production alongside product development, engineering and administration functions. Green room spaces and a roof terrace support productions and events at the facility.

Commenting, Michael Geissler, CEO of Mo-Sys, said, “Mo-Sys technology has made a huge impact in television and film production, and that will continue to be our major focus. What we are demonstrating in our new communications centre is that the same systems also have a key role to play in the corporate world, delivering high production values for launches, investor presentations and town halls, within a protected and confidential space.”

Announcing the promotion of Selin Kemal to MD, Geissler added, “I want to reassure all who rely on our technology around the world and in every sector that our restructuring means we will continue to be there for you, and we will continue to innovate. A key part of that is the promotion of our commercial director, Selin Kemal, to managing director. Many will know her from the pivotal role she has played in the company to date, and her strength and wisdom will continue to guide us.

“Appointing Selin as managing director frees me up to focus on new innovations and new concepts, like creating a state-of-the-art communications facility in our headquarters. By making our new home in the heart of London’s modern business district, we have the opportunity to offer something special to the community: a living and evolving demonstration of what modern corporate communication can become: immersive, broadcast quality, globally connected, commercially accessible and world-leading.”

New MD Kemal added, “We are moving forward with renewed strength and clear ambition. That means maintaining our reputation as the most innovative developer of technologies in our sector and delivering the key products that power the creative drive, wherever it comes from. In our new home we can showcase all of our unique products in a practical environment that delivers real benefit for our corporate neighbours, and our film and television users around the world.”
