Cloud-based cutting room company Creative Remote will open 41, a new London facility later this summer.
The facility, at 41-47 Old Street, Farringdon, will offer 35 editing suites and almost 8,000 sq ft of space.
As well as the edit suites, 41 will include screening rooms, several breakout spaces, a rooftop terrace, and meeting facilities.
“Over the last four years, we have listened closely to what our clients need, and while remote editing remains central to our business, there is always a need for in-person collaboration,” said Chris Sarson, co-founder of Creative Remote. “The opening of 41 is a response to that demand, giving productions access to purpose-built offline editing facilities while retaining all the flexibility of Creative Remote’s established remote model.
“At a time when London has seen a reduction in offline capacity, we are investing in the future and creating a neutral home for offline editing. We are not competing with finishing post houses, but giving productions more choice, more flexibility and the freedom to work with the final post provider of their choice.”
