StreamVX and SyncWords partner on multilingual AI-powered subtitle pipeline for live broadcast and OTT

The collaboration aims to enable broadcasters to meet accessibility mandates while expanding multilingual reach across live streaming platforms

StreamVX and SyncWords have entered a technology partnership aiming to reliably integrate DVB-TTML subtitling.

With live broadcasters increasingly reliant on AI captioning to expand multilingual reach and accessibility requirements, the collaboration aims to streamline the process of connecting captions to playout infrastructure, said the companies.

Providing native DVB-TTML extraction from broadcast TS, StreamVX’s vxOTT Gateway repackages SyncWords’ AI-powered captioning into HLS with WebVTT or CMAF-Ingest with full subtitle track support. Entirely cloud-native, the pipeline requires no additional hardware or encoding devices.

The pipeline can be extended to include full transcoding and packaging–from ingest to OTT stream—with high-resolution recording for archive, compliance or production, aiming to meet the needs of more demanding workflows, added the companies. Operators in regulated environments or with data sovereignty requirements can select either cloud or on-premises deployment.
