Gravity Media has revealed details of its work to support ITV’s coverage of the FIFA World Cup, featuring a reverse remote production setup.
A three hub production model aims to drive a fully integrated workflow. Match feeds are transmitted via the International Broadcast Centre in Dallas to Gravity Media’s London Production Centre, where live editorial and presentation content is produced. ITV Sport’s New York-based presenting team delivers live studio segments, with the seamless three-site workflow providing a robust, flexible model enabling collaboration across the Atlantic.
Game-side presentation elements are also integrated into Gravity Media’s London operation, enhancing storytelling and live coverage, said the company.
Kate Rendle, global sales director at Gravity Media, said, “This is a perfect example of how Gravity Media is redefining what’s possible in remote production. By integrating our London Production Centre with live presentation in New York, we’re able to deliver a seamless, resilient and highly creative workflow for one of the world’s biggest sporting events. Our investment in infrastructure ensures that we can support our clients with true operational flexibility and continuity, no matter what challenges arise. It’s about delivering innovation and reliability at scale, and we’re proud to be doing that for ITV.”
