Samsung Display has expanded its QD-OLED product range with the introduction of new reference monitors.
The company unveiled the new QD-OLED monitors in collaboration with SmallHD and Flanders Scientific Inc. The monitors combine the features of OLED technology, which offers differentiated image quality, with high-purity self-emissive quantum dots (QD) to deliver distortion-free visuals from any angle, said the company.
Following the introduction of 55 and 65-inch monitors last year, the product line-up increases to include the XMP310, a 31.5 inch QD-OLED reference monitor unveiled by FSI. Also debuted was the Quantum 32 from SmallHD, which features Samsung Display’s 31.5-inch QD-OLED technology.
“By partnering with global broadcasting equipment company SmallHD and FSI, we are making a significant entry into the reference monitor market that demands high-quality visuals of QD-OLED,” said Brad Jung, vice president and head of Large Display Marketing Team at Samsung Display. “QD-OLED, known for its industry-leading colour expression, will provide the optimal solution for reference monitors that need to accurately reproduce the original creator’s vision.”
