Vodafone has announced the launch of Vodafone TV, a new content and entertainment hub featuring 4K picture quality with built-in Dolby Vision and Atmos.
Providing users with single interface access to a range of streaming services including HBO Max, Netflix and more, the hub aims to reduce the need for multiple subscriptions, platforms and devices.
Intuitive discovery is enabled through AI Smart Search with personalised recommendations aiming to reduce the amount of time spent searching for content across live TV, streaming services, gaming and apps.

A companion app allows users to continue viewing while on the move, mirroring profiles, recommendations and more. Viewers can start watching a programme at home and seamlessly continue elsewhere. Vodafone TV can be paired with the company’s new 5G+ Fast Track SuperMobile service, enabling faster and more reliable connectivity when streaming away from home.
In addition to Netflix and HBO Max, Vodafone TV will include Freely from launch, with more than 70 live channels and access to on-demand content from BBC, ITV, Channel 4, 5 and more without an aerial.
Rob Winterschladen, consumer director, VodafoneThree said, “Vodafone TV is so much more than TV, it’s a family entertainment platform that brings together live TV, On Demand, streaming, gaming, music and all the apps on the Google Play Store. The entertainment experience is powered by our small yet mighty set top box with 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. We’ve made it simple to find and discover content through smart AI voice search and personalised recommendations linked to a user’s profile. And with our companion app, the experience is with you wherever you go. With brilliant content partnerships, including HBO Max, Netflix and Freely built-in – that’s how entertainment should be done.”
Paolo Pescatore, technology and telecoms analyst, added, “Vodafone TV is one of the strongest family entertainment offerings in the UK and provides a clear direction of where home entertainment is heading. The future of streaming is about aggregation, simplicity and discovery, bringing free-to-air, premium streaming, entertainment and gaming together in one place.”
The launch of Vodafone TV reflects the accelerating convergence of entertainment and connectivity and follows VodafoneThree’s £11 billion investment in its network and expanding 5G coverage.
