Fonn Group takes full ownership of everviz, launches new graphics platform

Fonn Group added it intends to closely integrate Teikna with Saga, its story-centric newsroom system, and Mimir, its cloud-based media collaboration and production platform

Fonn Group has launched a new broadcast graphics platform following its acquisition of everviz earlier this year.

The new platform, named Teikna, is aimed at broadcast, streaming, and digital media.

According to the company, Teikna carries forward everviz’s foundation in open web standards and APIs, combining them with Fonn Group’s cloud production workflows. Existing everviz charting and mapping capabilities will continue uninterrupted for current customers, said the company.

Fonn Group added it intends to closely integrate Teikna with Saga, its story-centric newsroom system, and Mimir, its cloud-based media collaboration and production platform.

To lead Teikna, Fonn Group has appointed Christian Gogstad Eide as chief technology officer. Eide spent nearly 15 years at Norwegian public broadcaster NRK, where he co-created Nora, NRK’s HTML-based graphics solution.

“Graphics are no longer created by one type of person, in one tool, or for one screen. That is exactly what drew me to Teikna. It is an opportunity to build on everviz’s strengths and apply them to a much broader range of graphics workflows,” said Eide.
