Media services company Planetcast has launched a new products division, adding software capabilities across integrated playout, time-delay and accessibility workflows.
The move follows the company’s acquisition of integrated playout, captioning, subtitling and broadcast workflow solutions provider BroadStream.
David Bowes, CEO of BroadStream, will lead the new division, overseeing product strategy, development and go-to-market execution, with a focus on supporting BroadStream customers and partners through the transition, said the company.
“BroadStream is a natural fit for Planetcast as we expand our product capabilities alongside our global services business,” said Sanjay Bhat, CEO, Planetcast.
“This acquisition brings together BroadStream’s proven broadcast products with Planetcast’s services and global infrastructure to support customers across more of the content lifecycle. The combination creates new opportunities to connect these capabilities across content preparation, playout, localisation, streaming and distribution, while giving customers the flexibility to build solutions around their specific operations and growth plans.”
