Viasat World agrees new licensing deal with ViacomCBS

Deal will see the amount of upcoming content on the Viasat TV channels and ViP Play online cinema available in Russia and CIS countries increase by 20 per cent.

Viasat World and ViacomCBS have agreed a new two-year licensing deal which will see the amount of upcoming content on the Viasat TV channels and ViP Play online cinema available in Russia and CIS countries increase by 20 per cent.

The deal gives Viasat World access to more than 90 films from Paramount Pictures, including Will Smith’s Gemini Man and Sonic the Hedgehog starring Jim Carrey.

“This year we are expanding the range of our partners and continue increasing the amount of our high-quality content,” said Irina Gofman, president and CEO, Viasat World. “Every year we purchase new content so our viewers have access to fresh and new projects from global studios.”
