ProSiebenSat.1 Group has announced the appointment of Nick Thexton in the newly created role of chief technology officer.
Thexton joins the company in June. Most recently, he has been chief digital and product officer at Inmarsat. Thexton has also served as CTO at YouView as well as stints at Channel 4 and Cisco.
The company said he will be tasked with managing all business functions on Group level that support the ongoing transformation of ProSiebenSat.1 into a technology and data-led company. His remit includes connecting individual components, such as data management, tech solutions and digital business models, in order to significantly accelerate digital growth at the technology front.
Speaking about his appointment, Thexton said: “With its diversified business, ProSiebenSat.1 has a wide range of technological components. I am looking forward to bringing in new ideas and developing the technological ecosystem of ProSiebenSat.1, together with my new teams.”
