DAZN broadcast live from the studio using Plazamedia's permanently connected TV control rooms, with all signals for the broadcast sent from Las Vegas via Plazamedia's broadcast centre

Germany’s Plazamedia has opened its new Illusioneer studio at its HQ at the AGROB Medienpark in Ismaning near Munich.

The studio made its on-screen debut as part of DAZN’s coverage of Super Bowl LVIII last month.

DAZN broadcast live from the studio using Plazamedia’s permanently connected TV control rooms, with all signals for the broadcast sent from Las Vegas via Plazamedia’s broadcast centre.

They were then sent to the DAZN Production Room (PCR) for the Illusioneer studio, the TV control rooms, central monitoring, highlight editing, post production, analysis graphics and the archive, and from there to the distribution channels for the customers, said Plazamedia.

Speaking about their use of the studio, Michael Bracher, SVP production and editorial at DAZN-DACH: We are proud to once again be at the forefront of modern and innovative sports broadcasting techniques, as the Illusioneer Studio opens up completely new dimensions for us.

“Our production of Super Bowl LVIII demonstrates DAZN’s innovative spirit and the creative possibilities of the studio. Virtual sets and camera movements, as well as the ability to respond to different needs individually, create a unique emotional appeal and offer our viewers high-quality live coverage.
