Kanal 75 upgrades Stockholm studio with LED wall

The 2x8 metre curved LED wall was broadcast-ready in just two days

Kanal 75 has upgraded its Stockholm production facility with an INFiLED DBmk2 curved LED wall to support its daily broadcast workload and content experimentation ambitions.

Producing more live broadcast hours than any other Nordic region production company, Kanal 75 faced a need to replace its ageing rental LED screen with a permanent, flexible solution to handle the demands of its high-volume environment. Working alongside INFiLED’s Swedish team, Christian Bruns, studio manager at Kanal 75, oversaw the installation of the 2x8m curved LED wall in just two days.

Paired with a Novastar MX40 Pro LED processor, the solution provides a natural depth and immersive on-camera look, combining flat and 10° curved DBmk2 Series panels to produce a gradual 90° arc at one end of the screen.

INFiLED’s CBSF technology aims to ensure colour temperature consistency across a viewing angle of 160°. M2 chip technology minimises the risk of moiré patterning and colour shifting when interacting with camera sensors, while ArmorLED technology reinforces individual LEDs against impact. A contrast ratio of 10,000:1 provides clear separation between light and dark areas, said INFiLED, aiming to produce sharper, more detailed broadcast images.

With speed of deployment a priority, the DBmk2’s features enabled fast and precise installation, minimising downtime for the studio. Cabinets were securely connected with the quick-lock system and accurate fitting of the curved sections was enabled by the arc adjustment slider. Pre-connection magnets provided additional stability throughout the build.

Commenting, Bruns, said, “We’re really grateful that we teamed up with INFiLED. The sales team and technicians have been more than helpful throughout the project. We feel really confident in this product and we’ll keep on developing and evolving our TV shows.”
