Sennheiser launches Spectera Studio

The solution streamlines Spectera workflows by combining planning, editing and migration in a single tool, aiming to improve efficiency in setup, reconfiguration and scaling of multichannel environments

Sennheiser has announced the launch of Spectera Studio, a system planning tool designed to streamline workflows for its bi-directional wideband wireless ecosystem. The solution enables users to plan full Spectera systems, migrate existing configuration files and create or edit setups offline with no requirement for connection to a Base Station, said the company.

The interface allows the specification of link modes, mobile devices and antenna configurations per RF channel, calculating RF capacity usage to determine the number of Base Stations required for setup. Users can specify accessories and the solution enables system overviews to be downloaded in PDF format. Planned Base Station configurations can be directly loaded into the editor enabling system files to be built for deployment.

For editing and creation, either Spectera WebUI save files can be loaded or new rows added to begin configurations from scratch. Multiple save files can be combined or new devices added to existing save files. Completed files are exported and uploaded to a Base Station to apply the settings.

Spectera Studio works with save files that are tied to the Mobile Transmitter Unique ID (MTUID) of each mobile device. The solution enables users to view and update MTUIDs across multiple locations within the file, preventing configuration errors by aligning device IDs with paired Base Stations.

Greg Simon, director, technical applications engineering at Sennheiser, said, “This is what Spectera users have been waiting for: a straightforward tool that lets them prepare a show offline or import settings from Spectera WebUI and modify them. Spectera Studio closes a gap for operators who want to seamlessly migrate saved configuration files from WebUI for use with new mobile devices, or batch edit all or selected mobile device parameters within an existing save file. Of course, users can also build entirely new configurations from scratch, without requiring connection to a Base Station.”
