Slovenia’s T-2 is preparing to launch its new 4K UHD offering with the announcement it has selected Amino’s Enable software to power UHD content delivery.
Amino is deploying technology that will underpin a major service upgrade, which aims to expand T-2’s service to include 4K UHD content and value-added Video on Demand and Subscription VoD services.
Enable will power the ultra-high definition content delivery as well as support a range of new features, including ‘timeshift’ and advanced search for both in-home and mobile TV services.
T-2 CSO Gregor Štampohar said: “We want to provide our customers with the very latest entertainment experiences and Amino’s solutions have been a key factor in the successful launch of our new service offering. At the same time, we are also seeing the value of customer self-install of devices with considerable cost savings in terms of reduced engineering visits. It is our goal to offer our customers the best user experience.”
Amino CEO Donald McGarva added: “Operators are now balancing the delivery of the latest high-quality consumer experiences around the home with a cost-effective drive to reduce installation and customer running costs. Our solutions are designed to meet these key objectives – and we’re delighted to be working closely with T-2 on their exciting rollout.”
TVBEurope understands the service has been actively deployed and is now in the process of being rolled out across Slovenia.
