Milk officially opens Dublin-based VFX studio, appoints Donal Nolan

The studio's first major project will involve bringing to life prehistoric creatures and environments with high-end VFX for NBC series Surviving Earth

After initially announcing plans to expand its European footprint into Ireland last year, visual effects studio Milk has now officially opened its new Dublin location.

The Dublin studio is located in one of the Grafter historic Georgian buildings in Dublin 2, within the golden triangle of the VFX and post production industry. Its first major project will involve bringing to life prehistoric creatures and environments with high-end VFX for NBC series Surviving Earth.

Donal Nolan has been appointed as creative head of studio and will lead the team in Dublin, said Milk.

Speaking about his appointment, Nolan said: I am delighted to be appointed as creative head of studio. Milk has ambitious growth plans and I look forward to playing such a significant role in driving these forward in Ireland. It’s a place I’m very fond of – there’s great energy, talent and an abundance of creativity.”
