A new visual effects (VFX) studio has opened in Dublin. Offering a full range of visual effects from CG environments to aging and de-aging workflows, Enbarr has been launched by multi-Emmy and VES Award winners Ed Bruce and Nicholas Murphy.

Executive creative director, Bruce has more than 100 credits including recent work on HBO’s The Penguin and FX’s Shōgun. His pedigree also includes Stranger Things and Game of Thrones.
Emmy-winning VFX producer Murphy, who takes on the role of business director, has worked on Game of Thrones, Star Wars : Ahsoka & The Mandalorian, and the Oscar-winning One Battle After Another.
Joining the Dream Machine FX Group, Enbarr is able to leverage a global infrastructure of partner studios including Sweden’s ILP, Metropolis in Spain and the US/Canadian Zero. In collaboration with Screen Ireland and bolstered by the country’s Section 481 tax incentive programme, Enbarr aims to nurture the next generation of digital artists.

Commenting on the launch, Bruce said, “At the end of the day, we’re here to help filmmakers tell their stories. For us, it’s about the art and partnerships. We wanted to create a space where we can work alongside directors and visionaries who care about the craft as much as we do. It’s a really positive time to be in Dublin, building a team of like-minded, creative people and looking forward to what we can create together.”
“Launching Enbarr is a proud moment for us and a great step forward for the Irish VFX sector,” added Murphy. “Being part of the Dream Machine FX Group gives us an incredible foundation of technology and expertise to build a bright, sustainable future for the industry in Ireland. It’s an exciting new chapter.”
