AWS will provide the cohort with the resources, capital, and community they need to solve big challenges to scale and grow

Companies that employ generative artificial intelligence to create clips for social media, generate avatar animations and employ AI to uncover deepfakes are amongst the first 21 companies joining Amazon Web Services’ first generative AI accelerator cohort.

The company received more than 1,200 applications for the 10 spaces in the programme, prompting AWS to expand it to 21.

The company will provide the cohort with the resources, capital, and community they need to solve big challenges to scale and grow.

Among the companies chosen are; Bunked a company that employs AI to discover deepfakes; UK-based Flawless, which is pioneering the generative AI revolution in filmmaking; Qlip uses AI to generate clips for social media; Krikey is creating avatar animations using generative AI; and Storia employs AI to power video production.

“Generative AI is one of those game-changing tech innovations that will rapidly redefine how we work across a variety of industries,” said Howard Wright, vice president and global head of startups at AWS.

“The startup community will be the driving force moving these innovations forward. We’re excited to welcome the most promising companies in this space and to provide them with access to the tools and mentors they need to make their ideas a reality.”
