Bitmovin Player has been selected by Ligue De Football Professionnel (LFP) Media to enable playback of its new app on any screen.
The Player supports React Native, a key differentiator for LFP Media, said the company, providing the organisation with cross-platform compatibility with single code bases for iOS and Android, shortening mobile development times and ensuring consistency across devices.
Aiming to provide users with an immersive experience across all devices, the Player supports compatibility across Android, iOS, Roku, the web and major smart TVs. Additionally, Bitmovin’s Player provides a number of features that can be tailored to workflow needs, based on an API approach. LFP Media is able to align brand aesthetics with a custom UI, added the company.
Gregory Rota, tech director at LFP Media, said, “Bitmovin is a known and respected leader in video streaming solutions, so it was a no-brainer for us to choose its Player to launch the LFP Media Apps. We were working to a tight timeline to launch our app, and we needed a high-performance, reliable player that could scale with our needs and be deployed at speed; Bitmovin’s Player ticked all of those boxes. The Bitmovin Player also comes with support for React Native, which was invaluable for us as it minimised our development time while maximising our ability to support more devices. Overall, Bitmovin has exceeded our expectations and proven itself a reliable, innovative, and trustworthy technology partner.”
“It’s a huge honour for us to work with LFP Media and bring the very best content from Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 to football fans,” added Stefan Lederer, CEO and co-founder of Bitmovin, “The Bitmovin Player has established a solid and respected reputation as an industry-leading player, and now LFP Media app subscribers will benefit from it and enjoy unrivalled streaming experiences filled with the best content from on and off the pitch.”
