Bitmovin and Akamai have revealed details of a collaboration with NRJ Group, supporting its migration of mobile and web streaming services to Akamai Adaptive Media Player 2 (AMP2).
The solution aims to enable the French multimedia company, which is the first new customer to deploy AMP2, to reduce complexity and improve visibility into playback performance while also accelerating issue resolution with deeper analytics and CDN-level insights.
Combining player, analytics, testing and CDN infrastructure into a managed end-to-end solution, Akamai AMP2 is driven by Bitmovin’s Player, Observability and Stream Lab technologies, enabling simplified media delivery through hands-off maintenance, wide device coverage, and advanced playback optimisation, said the companies.
Alain Reyes, CTO NRJ audio, NRJ Group said, “At NRJ, we’re committed to delivering seamless, high-quality audio and viewing experiences to all our customers. Akamai, our trusted CDN partner for many years, was naturally at the heart of our decision-making process.
“The choice of AMP2 was an obvious one, both technically and strategically: this solution allows us to optimise the entire delivery chain, from the source (CDN) to the final playback. AMP2, born from the collaboration between Akamai and Bitmovin, two undisputed leaders in content delivery, embodies the perfect synergy between performance and innovation.”
