Mediaproxy’s new browser-based Monwall supports MoQ

The company has also joined the Media eXchange Layer project with the aim of integrating ultra-low latency, in-memory media transport directly into its software-defined workflows

Mediaproxy has introduced a new web-based version of its software-defined Monwall multiviewer.

Monwall Web has been designed to enable fully interactive monitoring of live broadcast mosaics, said the company, as well as audio output monitoring.

Both low-latency HLS (LL-HLS) and the new emerging Media over Quic (MoQ) protocol are supported, making large-scale monitoring possible from any location.

The company has also added new AI tools to its flagship monitoring solution, LogServer, that can perform automated checks which would usually be carried out by human operators.

Mediaproxy has also joined the open-source Media eXchange Layer (MXL) project to advance software-defined live production frameworks. By adopting this high-performance initiative, the company said it intends to integrate ultra-low latency, in-memory media transport directly into its software-defined workflows.

“We have been following the emergence of AI in our industry and its deployment for broadcast carefully and, after in-depth research for our target market, have begun to develop a set of tools that extend beyond traditional monitoring paradigms,” said Mediaproxy’s chief executive, Erik Otto.

“Monwall Web is also transforming remote monitoring. This interactive, browser-based application now also includes the firewall-friendly MoQ and LL-HLS low latency protocols. That, coupled with the ability to rewind live layouts, Mediaproxy continues to lead through innovations that reduce operational costs and maximise efficiency.”
