UK mobile companies Vodafone and Three are reportedly considering launching a pay TV offering that would offer live TV as well as video-on-demand.

According to the Daily Telegraph, talks are at an early stage, with the decision dependent on the completion of the planned merger of the two companies. That is expected to happen in the next few months.
The report suggests the service would offer both live content as well as “access to third-party streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime”.
It’s thought the offering would be bundled with the merged company’s broadband deals, enabling it to take on the likes of Sky TV, BT, and Virgin Media.
