Latest Gravity Media OB truck supports European football coverage

The fully IP-based OB platform features two production control rooms supporting up to 16 camera control units and five EVS systems

Gravity Media’s latest IP-based OB truck has made its operational debut, supporting coverage of the UEFA Europe League match between Belgium’s Union Saint-Gilloise and Real Sociedad.

Built in partnership with ProjectBuilders, the new truck, Nova 110, features fully IP-based architecture aiming to allow rapid deployment and adaptation to meet the specific needs of live sports and event production at any scale.

Powered by Gravity’s diPloy technology, Nova 110’s two production control rooms provide support for up to 16 camera control units and five EVS systems. Operating alongside the T110 equipment truck, Nova 110 can be directly connected to create a single integrated production space with integrated fibre connectivity and power distribution.

Pieter Schram, project manager at Gravity Media said: “As broadcasters look to modernise their workflows, Nova 110 strengthens our ability to support live broadcast across sports, entertainment and multicamera productions for our clients. Benefitting from modern IP production environments, our new OB truck can adapt quickly to different production requirements whilst maintaining the same high-quality, broadcast-grade coverage and reliability that’s expected at premium live events.”

Building on the success of the Nova 106 and 107 platforms, the latest vehicle forms the next evolution of the Gravity Media fleet, highlighting the company’s continuing commitment to investing in the future of live production and industry shift towards the adoption of IP-based workflows.

Following its successful operational debut at the UEFA Europa League, Nova 110 has since supported coverage of a UEFA Champions League match between Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich in Madrid.
