Gravity Media’s latest OB truck has completed its first sports project, working on Sky Sports’ coverage of the 2026 Betfred World Matchplay darts tournament in Blackpool.
The truck, named MT501 in memory of former colleague Mark Thomas, features 14 operational positions, including edit facilities, a large EVS area and a two-row production gallery.
It also includes a fully connected second production control room, used by Sky Sports for edits, as well as space for facilitating a training environment during its darts coverage.
While the darts was the truck’s sport debut, it was also employed during the Isle of Wight Festival, where it worked alongside Gravity Media’s NOVA 109 production unit, housing the EVS operation, main stage gallery and compliance functions.
