Sennheiser shakes up leadership

Following 10 years as co-CEO Daniel Sennheiser is transitioning to the role of chairman

Following more than a decade in which Daniel and Dr Andreas Sennheiser acted as co-CEOs, the brothers will take on different roles from January 1st.

While Andreas will continue as CEO with operational oversight of the family-owned company, Daniel will become chairman of the board of directors with a focus on the group’s strategic direction. Commenting on his new role, Daniel said, “By joining the board of directors, I will concentrate more on the long-term development of the company and on continuously strengthening key customer relationships. I will continue to work closely with my brother Andreas in his role as CEO and with the existing executive management board.”

Andreas Donrnbracht, who has served as chairman for four years, will remain a member of the board. “We sincerely thank Andreas Dornbracht for his dedicated and forward-looking leadership over the past years,” said Daniel Sennheiser. “His strategic perspective and valuable input have been a great asset to all of us. I am delighted that he will remain on the board and that we can continue to benefit from his experience and expertise.”

The new structure enables the group to concentrate on strategic foresight while ensuring its day-to-day running is managed effectively. The brothers will continue their pursuit of sustainable and independent growth as they aim to drive the future of audio.

Daniel Sennheiser concluded, “Our trusted relationship and complementary perspectives have enabled us to lead the company successfully as co-CEOs for more than 10 years. This will also remain the basis for our future collaboration. I look forward to this next chapter of our family business, which has successfully evolved over three generations. Progress means shaping change positively – both for me in my new role and for Sennheiser as a company.”
