Calrec has announced its all-IP Argo S audio console and two ImPulse1 cores have been integrated into DVB Production’s OB Vehicle 1.
The company said DVB Production, a supplier of outside broadcast (OB) services in Slovenia and Central Europe, has become the first European customer to deploy its Argo S console, adding IP to the truck’s audio capabilities. To maximise the use of space, Calrec created a reduced height version of its console by combining the functionality of two rows of screens into one, with switchable access to information.
Calrec’s international sales manager, Mike Reddick, said, “At Calrec, customer needs are at the heart of everything we do. We’ve seen huge traction with Argo, vindicating our design decisions, with OB requirements central to our thinking. We happily responded to their requirements for a slightly smaller surface, with our engineering team excelling in the work they did.”
DVB Production, which works with broadcasters including Sky Sport Austria, ORF, ARD and RAI, and has relationships with rights holders and sports federations such as UEFA and FIFA, has used Argo S on several projects, the first being the UEFA Women’s Champions League match between FC Bayern Munich and Paris St Germain. The OB provider has subsequently handled a UEFA Europe League broadcast in Milan and a number of other productions, with more in its pipeline.
