Alfalite has announced the launch of its new ceiling-mounted LED panels.
Designed to meet virtual production requirements, the SKYPIX series combines RGB video playback with an integrated white lighting channel aiming to deliver more natural scenes, in what the company said is an industry first.
SKYPIX features a 3.9 mm pixel pitch, up to 9,000 nits of RGB brightness and a refresh rate of 7,680 Hz. The solution has colour temperature range between 3,200–6,504ºK and a TM-30 colour rendering index (Ra) of 90. Real-time adjustment of both colour and intensity is enabled via a dedicated app and user-defined presets can be tailored to production needs.
An Invisible Marker (IM) system provides a virtual, invisible sticker compatible with existing tracking technologies, aiming to ensure accurate, real-time synchronisation and configuration of customisable IM constellations embedding metadata directly into the shoot.
