YouTube Premium has begun allowing users to download some content in 1080p for offline viewing.
Previously downloads were only available in 720p.
Support for the upgraded resolution is being slowly enabled through YouTube’s iOS and Android apps.
It will be available in “most Premium markets,” with more being added “soon” said a YouTube spokesperson.
YouTube Premium allows subscribers to watch videos without adverts. User scan download videoes for free in certain regions.
