YouTube has revealed FIFA World Cup 2026 was its most watched World Cup ever, with more than 200 billion lifetime views for related videos.
More than 1.7 billion unique viewers watched World Cup-related content on the platform during the tournament, including over 550 million who watched on their TVs.
YouTube’s official broadcast of the final match, with Spain beating Argentina, attracted in excess of 21 million average minute audience over more than 40 markets, reaching a combined peak of over 27 million concurrent viewers, said the company.
As the tournament progressed, FIFA’s official YouTube channel added over 7.5 million new subscribers and amassed more than 4 billion views. The channel now has more than 34 million subscribers, said YouTube.
Additionally, global creators with a combined 350 million subscribers added content which accumulated more than 2.5 billion worldwide views.
