Spanish broadcaster RTVE and Danish production house Zentropa have both selected production technology from Marquis Broadcast to help with their workflows.
RTVE is using Marquis’ middleware Medway to support its workflows, and deliver full integration between RTVE’s Avid production system and the DAM and archive systems within its existing media production workflow, with advanced UHD transcoding.
Zentropa has invested in Marquis’ Workspace Backup, a disaster recovery and business continuity tool, designed specifically to protect Avid shared storage systems. It uses detailed analytics of Avid workspaces to ensure the most crucial projects can be immediately and individually recovered to production. Previously, Zentropa was using tape-based systems and hard drives for its backups.
Peter Mygdal from Zentropa said: “We often work on projects and collaborations with local production units in different European countries, so we liked that Workspace Backup uniquely analyses projects and can back up any assets that are linked to that project. It was simple to install and configure too.”
