Sony brings HDR to The Farm Group

The Farm Group has selected Sony’s BVM-X300 4K HDR Trimaster EL OLED master monitors for its new facility. Based in London, the facility – claimed to be one of the largest

The Farm Group has selected Sony’s BVM-X300 4K HDR Trimaster EL OLED master monitors for its new facility.

Based in London, the facility – claimed to be one of the largest in Europe – will now host six of the 30-inch monitors.

Fitting out all of the facility’s new mastering and online grading rooms, the monitors were selected for their “superb 4K HDR performance”.

The new equipment is already being used on various programmes, including Amazon’s The Grand Tour and a 4K episodic drama for Sky.

David Klafkowski, CEO of The Farm Group, said, “Our clients have to trust what we are doing, and the Sony badge provides the necessary confidence that we are delivering to the highest possible standard.

“We’ve been exclusively using the BVM-X300 to grade our 4K content, and have been delighted with the pictures results.”

Daniel Dubreuil, senior product marketing manager at Sony Professional Solutions Europe, added, “The Group’s colourists will have access to a much higher dynamic range than before, with deeper blacks and richer colours.

“It’s this incredible colour performance in particular that is seeing the BVM-X300 being adopted by more and more post houses.”
