Picture Shop opens newly expanded, renovated facilities in Hollywood

The transformations are part of the company's commitment to provide filmmakers globally with first-in-class technology

Picture Shop, part of Streamland Media, has expanded and extensively renovated its Sunset and Seward post production facilities, both located in Hollywood.

The transformations are part of the company’s commitment to provide filmmakers globally with first-in-class technology.

The company’s facility at 6040 Sunset Boulevard now includes 13 colour bays 22 online edit rooms, 55 offline rental rooms and five D.I. theatres.

Picture Shop’s location at 861 Seward has also been newly renovated., featuring two colour-grading theatres with a third set to open this spring. All have direct high-speed connectivity to the main Picture Shop facility at Sunset, as well as Picture Shop’s facility in Burbank. Production, operations, and support teams at the facilities will be able to offer 24/7 client assistance, said the company.

Picture Shop’s recent credits include Oscar-nominees The Fablemans, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Women Talking and the upcoming The Little Mermaid.

In addition to its Los Angeles facilities, Picture Shop locations include New York, Toronto and Vancouver, as well as London, Manchester, Bristol, Wales and at Pinewood Studios.

Speaking about the updates to both facilities, Picture Shop president Cara Sheppard said: “We’ve invested millions of dollars to ensure that we have world-leading technology and optimum environments in place for colour grading, editorial, and workflow management, with the goal of serving our clients at the highest level.”
