Netia takes the Baton for quality control

As part of the content management system it is providing for Orange, Netia is using the Baton automated quality control system from Interra System

As part of the content management system it is providing for Orange, Netia is using the Baton automated quality control system from Interra Systems. Orange, a France Telecom brand, is building the CMS to serve content to multiple platforms.

The Netia CMS ingests content from a range of sources, and catalogues it for access by the different divisions within Orange. Using the embedded metadata it is then empowered for delivery to computers, mobile phones, tablets and television sets. The Interra Baton software provides automatic content verification as well as quality control before the media is delivered, reporting back to the Netia CMS.

Interra’s French distributor is Videomenthe, and the implementation of Baton for Orange required a close collaboration between Netia, Videomenthe and Interra Systems. “Given the range of multiple ingest sources available, we needed a robust QC solution in the workflow,” said Yoann Poizeau of Netia.

“Interra’s Baton supports extensive formats and quality checking to ensure QC on any content at any stage of our content management for Orange,” he continued. “Effectively, Baton offers a consistent, production-proven QC platform across the various stages of the content workflow.”
