Haivision unveils cloud-based master control solution

Hub 360 enables broadcasters to centrally build and manage contribution workflows for multiple, geographically distributed live productions

Haivision has unveiled its Haivision Hub 360, a cloud-based master control solution aimed at streamlining live production workflows.

Hub 360 enables broadcasters to centrally build and manage contribution workflows for multiple, geographically distributed live productions, simplifying delivery of event coverage, said the company. Compatible with Haivision mobile video transmitters, Makito video encoders, MoJoPro mobile camera applications and StreamHub receivers, Hub 360 establishes and monitors live contribution across cellular networks, the internet and cloud, from the field to production resources.

On-site camera crews can remotely control, configure, and upgrade field units and receivers from the production facility via a single browser-based user interface. The master control grid can be leveraged to manage all outputs and destinations with preview thumbnail images; live incoming feeds can be dragged and dropped to StreamHub destinations that can provide SDI, NDI, SMPTE ST 2110, SST, SRT outputs. Hub 360 allows workflows to be instantly scaled by spinning up receiver cloud instances to provide additional capacity, said the company.

Jean-Marc Racine, chief product officer at Haivision said: “The industry is demanding greater operational and economic efficiencies at all levels for contribution and production workflows. Serving this vital need for our customers is the fundamental driver behind Haivision Hub 360.”
