INSIDE Secure, provider of embedded security solutions for mobile and connected devices, is to enable Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology for protection of premium content on Intel-based mobile devices running Android.
The technology allows Intel to take advantage of INSIDE Secure’s Downloadable DRM Fusion Agent and enable its customers to deliver their secured content services on devices. The Downloadable DRM Fusion Agent aims to reduce DRM implementation costs and time-to-market by eliminating the dependency on device manufacturers for embedded DRM solutions.
It allows for the rapid creation of branded secure mobile video and audio apps across all mobile devices, connected set top boxes and Smart TVs. By adding support for Intel-based devices, INSIDE Secure now hopes to make content protection available for more consumers.
“The ability to enable content access anytime, anywhere and from any device is a crucial success factor for any digital content service,” commented Simon Blake Wilson, executive vice president, mobile security business division, INSIDE Secure. “In order to meet these consumer demands and achieve success in emerging digital markets broadcasters, content owners, mobile operators and service providers must be able to support a variety of purchasing and consumption models. The foundation behind any flexible pricing and licensing plan is security.”
