Web3 Productions have revealed a new XR/virtual production facility powered by INFiLED solutions.
Designed to meet the needs of a wide range of productions including live broadcasts, traditional filmmaking and immersive augmented reality, the Web3TV creative hub is one of the largest extended reality/virtual production (XR/VP) facilities in the UAE.
Providing a tailored configuration from its INFiLED STUDIO product suite, INFiLED combined ceiling, floor and backdrop LED displays to create a unified, flexible system. The modular approach enabled the development of a ‘studio-to-go’ concept allowing users access to real-time XR workflows, in-camera VFX and high-end broadcast production.
LED panels from the ARmk2 Series form the ceiling, with lightweight design and integrated truss brackets and pedestals enabling dynamic lighting and content rigs above the shooting area. The main backdrop comprises DBmk2 Series panels with cinematic-grade fine pitch visuals for close-up shots and shallow depth-of-field filming. Anti-slip, anti-reflective DFmk2 panels were used for the floor, with INFiLED’s ArmorLED technology ensuring durability.
The combination delivers a five metre high floor-to-ceiling LED volume enabling immersive environments and minimises the need for extensive work in post production.
INFiLED’s CBSF (Colour and Brightness Shift Free) technology, high refresh rates and ⅛-scan design ensure bright, flicker-free images said the company, while high-precision grayscale performance ensures stable, shift-free colour reproduction over time. Operating temperatures are managed using ColdLED technology.
Brompton processing powers the LED volume with integration into a Disguise-based virtual production workflow connecting real-time Unreal Engine content, camera tracking and monitoring. Soundproof podcast rooms, editing suites and recording booths within the same ecosystem as Dubai Production City complement the facility, provided by Dubai-based CVD Productions.
