Eurosport to ‘bring viewers closer to the action’ at Women’s Euros

Eurosport to employ up to 14 cameras for the final

Eurosport will broadcast all 31 matches from the UEFA Women’s European Championships, using more cameras than ever before.

The broadcaster has announced it will show every match live on its linear channel and Eurosport Player.

Eurosport will use more cameras than it ever has before as it covers the tournament, with up to 14 cameras on-site for the semi-finals and final and 12 cameras for all other matches.

Ally Beasant, director, global football production, Eurosport told TVBEurope the viewing experience will be “improved substantially”.

He said: “More cameras means every moment covered by more angles, bringing the viewer closer to one of the fastest growing sports in the world.”

The camera set-up for the semi-finals and final include Steadicam, a beauty camera, two Steadicams and a reverse camera (see picture for the camera set-up).

All of the cameras will be manually operated, with the broadcast available in HD only.
