Eleven Sports has launched a new production offshoot, Eleven Studios.
The new production house is already working on a documentary about Leeds United, which is owned by Andrea Radrizzani, who also owns the sports streamer.
“With the number of high quality sports documentaries on the rise it makes sense for the Eleven Sports Group, as an innovative and ambitious media company, to broaden its horizons into this space.” said Eleven Sports in a statement to TVBEurope.
“Currently, key players from the Eleven Group, led by Anouk Mertens, are overseeing the initial project and we will say more when there are further developments.”
Eleven Studios is working in collaboration with Leeds-based studio, The City Talking, to co-produce the high-end docuseries which will tell the inside story of Marcelo Bielsa’s attempt to take Leeds United back to the top flight of English football.
There is no broadcaster currently attached to the project , although Eleven Studios said they “continue to engage in positive discussions” with several.
