French film laboratory and post production house, Eclair Group, has invested in a Quantel Pablo Rio to boost its finishing capabilities. Each year, Eclair Group post produces more than 50 feature length films, 100 shorts, 80 hours of television fiction, 25 hours of documentaries and over 100 commercials and trailers.
Eclair Group was created in 1907 as a film laboratory and movie camera manufacturer, later moving into the post production of television commercials in the 1980s. In 2000, Eclair Group purchased one of Europe’s first 2K colour-correction suites to become one of the pioneers of digital post production for feature-length films.
Thierry Beaumel, director of production and Laurent Nikolli, technical director at Eclair Group, said, “We are very excited to welcome Pablo Rio technology to Eclair. Workflow achievement in post production, sound, and systems integration will be celebrated at next month’s first TVBAwards at the Hilton London Wembley. The event will also celebrate excellence in Capture, and Delivery of live or recorded broadcast TV content, with three Special Awards for Outstanding Broadcast, Marketing, and Sustainability.
