Ealing expansion for Versa Studios production facilities

The expansion adds 200,00 square feet to the existing Ealing site, aiming to attract productions from the UK and around the world

Versa Studios has revealed expansion plans for its London facility.

Aiming to offer flexible infrastructure for TV, film and live productions, the first phase of Versa’s expansion will see its studio production facilities in Ealing, West London, grow by 200,000 square feet. The new space will be fibre-linked, enabling connectivity between all Versa’s studios.

The new studio will house ITV’s Big Brother, and aims to welcome both domestic and foreign productions, taking Versa’s total studio space across the UK to 600,000 square feet. Following the relaunch of its Manchester TV studios and its film production site in Leeds, the company has further plans to add more space in the future.

Charlie Ingall, executive director at Versa Studios, commented, “Versa’s expansion in London has been part of our ambitious growth strategy, and it further elevates our business as a first choice for large scale, high profile productions such as Big Brother. The significant investment we have made in this expansion gives us the ability to create long term homes for our clients, and in turn support the TV and Film community.”

Jody Collins, director of production for Big Brother producers Initial, added, “The most iconic house on television has found a new home, and we couldn’t be more delighted. The needs of the production are substantial and VERSA is uniquely equipped to meet these demands.”
