Football content business 21st Club has created GoalDifference.com, a data-driven fan engagement platform which the company hopes will enable media partners and brands to connect with football supporters. Partners can embed existing content and widgets from GoalDifference.com or receive bespoke solutions and services.
With a range of data widgets, infographics, rankings and charts, it aims to spark debate and provide answers to questions like ‘Which country will win the World Cup?’, ‘Who really is the best team in Europe?’ and ‘What is the cost of a Premier League side’s injuries?’.
It features an interactive Tournament Predictor to complement the World Cup Sweepstake, and a Points Scored feature which gives a breakdown of Europe’s best goal scorers. Costly Injuries is a digital widget that shows every Premier League squad’s overall value – and the percentage currently unavailable through injury. GoalDifference.com also provides Score Predictions during a match based on the strength of the teams and the current ‘game state’, and Attacking Momentum –– a visualisation of the ebb-and-flow of the match – as part of its live content offering.
