Metus INGEST is the essential desktop multimedia capture, transcoding, and streaming software and has announced support for ProRes in its multi-stream capture and transcoding software. A Windows tool, Metus INGEST now enables video operators to record up to four channels of full quality Apple ProRes streams while simultaneously creating proxy files.
“With this announcement, Metus will greatly accelerate Apple-based post production and archiving workflows,” said Mustafa Yilmaz, managing director of Metus. “Clips can be edited directly in Final Cut Pro X or swiftly archived for fast retrieval and re-purposing.” Supported ProRes formats include ProRes 422, ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 LT, and ProRes 422 Proxy.
