Synamedia Go accelerates monetisation at Odido TV

Synamedia Go aims to allow Odido to bring new experiences to market faster, accelerating time to revenue

Synamedia has announced Netherlands telecomms provider Odido has selected its solutions to power the Odido TV streaming service.

Enabling Odido to migrate its existing subscribers to a modular, cloud-based SaaS platform, Synamedia Go aims to provide Odido with services ranging from content discovery and multi-DRM security to subscriber management, analytics and ready-made apps. Go’s AI-driven modules allow Odido to introduce new capabilities as demand and business needs evolve, including personalisation and automatically generated short-form feeds.

Commenting, Johan van den Branden, chief network and operations officer at Odido, said, “Our ambition is to deliver a more innovative and compelling TV experience that keeps pace with our customers’ evolving expectations. With Synamedia Go, we can introduce new experiences faster, create more opportunities to engage viewers and grow revenue, all while simplifying operations. Just as importantly, Synamedia’s proven expertise in large-scale migrations gives us confidence that we can make this transition with minimal risk and without disrupting our customers’ viewing experience.”

Steve Reeves, chief revenue officer at Synamedia added, “Odido has a clear vision for the future of its TV service, and Go gives it the flexibility to realise that vision at its own pace, without disrupting the experience for existing subscribers. This is exactly what we designed Go to do: help operators move beyond legacy technology to a more flexible, modular foundation that simplifies operations and makes it easier to innovate, adapt and unlock new revenue opportunities.”
