Nevion enhances VideoIPath with Panel Builder launch

The new functionality allows users to design, deploy and manage hardware panel layouts without the need for additional hardware

Nevion has announced the launch of a new tool to upgrade its VideoIPath media orchestration platform. Aiming to simplify both deployment and ongoing operations, Panel Builder provides a visual representation of supported hardware panels directly within VideoIPath. The solution allows actions including endpoint switching, connect/disconnect commands, profile or parameter settings and multi-page navigation to be assigned by drag-and-drop. Advanced configurations are also supported, such as stacked panels, enabling multiple panels to act as one.

Layouts can be created offline, replicated across multiple devices or locations and field panels replaced instantly without the need to re-engineer configurations. All logic resides within VideoIPath, enabling more advanced functionality than would typically be supported by standalone hardware.

Panel Builder supports Sony MKS-R4020 and Elgato StreamDeck Studio control panels from launch, with more to follow, said the company. The latest version of VideoIPath software also features integrations with Riedel intercom,  Arista MCS, and Sony CNA-2 camera control, as well as a tag dictionary for assigning structured labels to endpoints and other enhancements.

Arne-Johan Martinsen, product director for VideoIPath at Nevion, said,  “The new Panel Builder represents a major step forward in making broadcast control more intuitive, powerful and flexible. This is all part of our commitment to continuously evolve VideoIPath to meet the needs of modern IP-based production.”
