NEP Group has announced the launch of its latest outside broadcast unit, EU-01, built on a common IP-based technical architecture,
Designed around the NEP Platform, EU-01 blends traditional hardware with software-defined capabilities to enable flexibility across European deployments while providing users with a familiar, standardised operating environment, said the company. At launch, the unit incorporates Lawo HOME, Manifold and Bridge Technologies’ VB440 via NEP Platform’s single interface. The approach follows the launch of NEP’s EU-03 unit earlier this year.
Complementing the NEP Platform, NEP’s TFC broadcast control system provides monitoring and operational control, aiming to provide production teams with a unified environment with greater visibility, flexibility and efficiency.
The unit features 14 production workspaces across two control rooms built on a UHD HDR SMPTE ST 2110 architecture. Support for 24 cameras is provided, with the ability to expand to 48 if needed. Additional capabilities include six EVS replay positions, support for up to 192 video inputs and outputs, a Riedel intercom solution and a Dolby Atmos-ready audio room, said the company.
Capable of supporting high-level international production across sports, entertainment and other live events, EU-01 is built to meet UEFA’s technical specifications and will enter operation supporting ESPN’s coverage of the Eredivise in the Netherlands, saif the company.

EU-01 will be demonstrated at IBC2026 in Amsterdam next month.
