Riedel Communications has announced it is extending its collaboration with Skaarhoj, with the latest SimplyLive 2.1 release bringing official Skaarhoj panel support into its production workflows.
Responding to demand for dedicated hardware control in live production environments, the integration aims to provide users with the speed, familiarity and confidence of a classic switcher panel. Key functions such as source switching, programme output switching, transitions, auxiliary output control, keying, graphics and macros can now be controlled by SimplyLive users.
A curated starting configuration aims to extend the operator-focused approach beyond the panel integration, with the flexibility to adapt the setup to production workflow preferences enabling users to quickly get up and running.

Support for Skaarhoj panels is introduced via a gRPC API, aiming to provide responsive communication between the panel and SimplyLive ViBox application. SimplyLive 2.1 also features a new Venue Gateway licence for SimplyLive Production Suite Flex customers, enabling the same server hardware to support Venue Gateway applications in addition to All-in-One, Replay, Ingest, and Review workflows, said the company.
