A turnkey version of the Alchemist OD format and frame rate converter is now available as a fully configured, Snell-supported software and hardware option.
As well as continuing to be available as a software-only offering, the move combines Snell’s media processing software with two choices of hardware configuration.
The Professional Alchemist OD package makes use of high-performance commodity components to create a cost-effective conversion solution for standard use.
The Enterprise Alchemist OD package incorporates enterprise grade components for heavy 24/7 usage. The Enterprise solution enables fast connectivity to remote NAS/SAN storage and offers additional features such as ECC memory, redundant power supplies and increased CPU processing power.
Both systems are delivered in a 4U chassis and come with Windows Server 2012, as well as enabling support for Apple’s ProRes family of codecs.
