A field-installable software upgrade has been announced by Tektronix for its WFM/WVR 8000 series of waveform monitors and rasterisers, adding new support for monitoring HDR and ITU-R Recommendation BT.2020 wide colour gamut (WCG) formats.
The upgrades assist camera operators, editors and colourists in easily and accurately capturing and reproducing highly realistic video image content.
