Vonetize to launch Bollywood HD Movie Channel on EE TV

The Bollywood HD Movie Channel from global VoD services company Vonetize will be featured on EE TV, the television service launched in the UK last year by mobile operator EE.

According to a recent report issued by a MediaBug analyst, 30 per cent of UK consumers utilise a subscription-based VoD service each month. This is demonstrative of a global trend that has seen an increasing amount of cable subscribers migrate to specialised OTT or VoD internet-based streaming content services. An early innovator of VoD offerings worldwide, Vonetize features a trove of channels which reach millions of global viewers and aim to appeal to varying regions and preferences, including Bollywood films, telenovelas, music, children’s content, and more.

“We are thrilled to work with a well-known European telecom like EE, which boasts top figures in UK carrier penetration,” commented Vonetize CEO Noam Josephides. “Vonetize is a technology company committed to making great video content accessible through smart devices in global markets, and working with EE positions us to enable more UK consumers to watch the highest quality content.”

Vonetize’s Bollywood HD Movie channel will be displayed on the main page of EE’s TV hub, and will also be distinguished with specialised labelling for the new channel. The move represents another step in Vonetize’s continued expansion into new international mobile and smart TV markets, with recent deals signed with companies including Samsung, LG, Toshiba, and Hisense.
