‘The new name reflects the ambition we’ve had since the very beginning’: Newsbridge rebrands as Moments Lab

The company says its goal is to help media, sports, and entertainment companies tell engaging stories by identifying "the moments that matter the most"

AI and video search company Newsbridge has rebranded itself as Moments Lab, which it says better encompasses its vision to use multimodal and generative AI to eliminate sourcing roadblocks for content teams worldwide.

The company says its goal is to help media, sports, and entertainment companies tell engaging stories by identifying “the moments that matter the most”.

It intends to achieve this by combining its AI indexing technology and workspace solutions, said Moments Lab. “With our innovative AI-powered solutions, we provide users with easy access and insight into all of their audiovisual content, as well as connections to all of the tools and platforms where their content needs to thrive,” added the company.

Speaking to TVBEurope, Moments Lab co-founder and CEO Philippe Petitpont said the new name “reflects the ambition we’ve had since the very beginning”.

Petitpoint added that the company’s leadership felt the previous name did not “reveal the full power of what we can bring to the market”.

“At the same time, people were saying that we can find moments within video. So we said OK, we need to use this word because the word moments is kind of universal,” he continues. “You remember watching a moment in a movie or in a football game. We felt that moments are more than just a shot or a sequence. It’s linked to some kind of emotion and that was very inspiring for us.”

Petitpoint adds that the decision was taken to add Labs to the company name in order to reflect that it is a “deep tech company”.

“A lab is a place where you can make great discoveries,” he explains. “This is a lab where you can find out what the best and most emotional moments are.”
