Rise celebrates media tech’s amazing women

Annual Rise Awards celebrate the outstanding women working in the media technology industry

Advocacy group Rise has announced the winners of its annual awards, celebrating the work of women within the media technology industry.

The awards were presented at a special ceremony at BT Sport’s studios in London, and streamed globally on YouTube.

This year, Rise introduced three new awards; Ally, Business Operations and Project Management or Delivery.

The winners included:

Ally: Fernando Küfer, disguise

Business: Nyema Zam, Samuh Mediatech

Business operations: Jane Sung, Cinedeck

Company award for investment in women: Deluxe

Influencer: Sarah Essoof, Engage Digital Partners

Marketer/PR: Lauren Carter-Jones, Broadcast Tech & Sport Group

Product innovation: Floriane Magera, EVS

Project management or delivery: Chrissie Collins, EMG

Production support engineer: Markela Deverikou, NEP UK

R&D engineer: Jigyasa Grover, Twitter

Rising Star: Maddie Holmes, EMG

Sales: Sandra Hernandez, Ross Video

Student of the Year: Kai Randles, Global Academy

Technical operations: Pippa Windus, Telstra Broadcast Services

Rise’s Woman of the Year Award was presented to the previously announced Daniella Weigner, co-founder and MD at Cinegy, while Mitzi Dominguez, CEO, Clear-Com, received a Special Recognition Award for her continued determination and commitment to creating a more diverse and supportive environment for women in our industry.
